Chartering a superyacht may seem like a daunting task at first, but with the right broker, booking your charter is as simple as reserving a luxury hotel
To help ensure you find the perfect boat for your next trip, we’ve put together a short guide on how to charter a superyacht.
Plan ahead:
The most popular superyachts are booked up months in advance so it pays to plan ahead. If you’re looking for a summer charter, try and book before January to make sure you have your pick of the yachts. And similarly if you prefer to sail in winter, especially over the Christmas and New Year period, then aim to make your reservation before September for maximum availability.
Attention to detail:
By providing us with as much information as possible about the type of charter you are looking for, we will be able to help you choose the perfect superyacht for your holiday. Detailed information about your general budget, accommodation requirements for family and staff members, your preferred itinerary and any special requests for your stay on-board will all ensure that the whole process runs smoothly.
Location, location, location:
You may already have a specific destination in mind for your next charter, but if not your broker can help by providing suggestions for exotic locations and adventures. Whether you’d prefer to visit volcanos in the Galápagos islands, spend time diving in South-East Asia, or go whale watching in Alaska, we can advise you about the best time of year to travel and the weather conditions in each country, turning your dream holiday into a reality. We can also recommend areas of interest to visit and the best local restaurants in each port if you and your guests wish to go ashore.
Ask away:
Your broker is there to answer any questions you might have about your charter and to make sure you are completely satisfied with your chosen boat. So if you have any queries during the charter process then please, just ask. Yacht terms can sometimes seem confusing but we are here to answer all your questions, whether you would like to know what sort of water toys a particular boat carries or which type of cuisine your on-board chef specialises in. Asking questions before you finalize your charter will allow us to fully understand your requirements and to find the perfect crew to look after you and your guests.
If you bear these guidelines in mind when booking your next superyacht charter, you will then be able to sit back and relax whilst we do all the hard work, leaving you free to enjoy a holiday which has been meticulously planned and custom designed to your specifications.
