Speaks :
A luxury yacht charter in Greenland is your chance to venture into the frozen wilderness deep in the icy waters of the Arctic. Set where the Atlantic meets the Arctic Ocean, a voyage to Greenland will be an epic adventure. Go off the beaten track and explore the beauty of this remote icy kingdom.
Completely untouched, Greenland is the perfect charter destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The alpine ranges south of the Arctic Circle in West Greenland offer the perfect conditions for heli-skiing during your yacht charter.
Take a helicopter up to the glacier face keeping an eye out for polar bears roaming the tundra below you. Ski down untracked terrain overlooked by towering ice peaks and enjoy run after run of untouched powder snow. Wrap up the day by reliving your adventures back onboard over a cocktail. Skiing will never be the same again.
If you prefer the water, take a kayak tour through the icy waters to see majestic glaciers and observe this pristine polar landscape.
Resolutely remote, a superyacht charter promises the experience of a lifetime for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike, whilst living in the lap of luxury.
Highlights
Key facts
Arrival
Start your Greenland superyacht charter with a warm welcome and a delicious welcome buffet. You'll look forward to the delicious dinner that your chef has planned while you relax and enjoy the onboard amenities in style to work out any jet lag.
Nuuk
Nuuk is the capital and largest city in Greenland, but with a population of only 16,454, it’s one of the smallest capitals in the world. Explore Nuuk and try experiences not found elsewhere in Greenland: marvel at mummies in the Greenland National Museum, or try a tasting flight of local craft beers at Greenland’s largest microbrewery. Learn about urban Arctic living and the move towards Greenlandic independence with a city and parliament. Find out about new and old expressions of Inuit culture at the Nuuk art museum.
Maniitsoq
Head to Kangaamiut to go heli-skiing in groups of five (including a guide). Most of the time you’ll be lucky enough to ski in good spring corn snow on the south exposures and powder on the north. The maritime nature of the snowpack and the timing in spring means that most of the time avalanche hazard is not critical and you can enjoy some steep skiing. Descents are up to 2,000 vertical metres and many terminate at the sea edge.
Isortok
Sail to Norde Isortok and notice how the neighbouring fjords are still ice-bound at the time of luxury charters in May. Conditions dependent, we’ll attempt to cruise into one of the frozen fjords to see the population of walruses and seals and watch the banks for one of the largest populations of caribou in Greenland.
Ukkusissat
Cruise to Ukkusissat, a small settlement in the Qaasuitsup municipality in northwestern Greenland. To the north of the settlement, a large inner fjord empties into the main branch of Uummannaq Fjord. To the south and southwest across Torsukattak Strait are the high mountains of the Salleq Island and the much larger Appat Island, alongside the flat Qeqertat skerries.
Depart
After all the exciting experiences the crew will make sure you have a lovely stay onboard. Warm your feet whilst having a nice cup of hot chocolate around the fireplace surrounded by your friends or family. You can also enjoy the jacuzzi outside and take in the stunning view as you prepare to wrap-up your superyacht charter in Greenland.
