Embark on some of the most unique charter experiences on offer.
This year, popular chartering destinations in the Mediterranean such as Italy and Greece are shaping up to be as busy as ever. While these are excellent locations to enjoy sandy beaches and warm up in the sun, holidays are also an occasion to break one’s routine and discover something new. The first step in arranging an unforgettable experience for your next trip in Antarctica, Eastern Russia, Norway or beyond is to ask our team.
Antarctica
Although it is one of the most inhospitable places on Earth, Antarctica is still astounding in its natural beauty and diversity of wildlife. On some of the first places to visit, guests will have the opportunity to discover the Falklands and South Georgia, where familiar British culture mixes with sprawling mountain ranges and fields of grass. Spotting waddles of penguins and some curious seals will also be commonplace. Heading further south, marks of civilization will be few and far between, while ice floes and Antarctic animals become more common in places, such as Grytviken and Elephant Island. Finally, once you charter nears Deception Island and the Lemaire Channel, those on board will be privy to some of the most awe-inspiring sights in the world, with seagulls, seals, penguins, and whales all coexisting on crystal white ice sheets as far as the eye can see. However, a yacht wishing to pass through Antarctica will need to be equipped with an icebreaker hull, which is why we recommend chartering superyacht LEGEND and LA DATCHA. Charters in this region are available between late November and late February.
Delivered by HC Vershure in 1974, LEGEND (77.4m) is a veteran of Antarctic expeditions and has been refitted in 2015 to be prepared for any eventuality. Her icebreaker hull will enable her to go anywhere while comfortably accommodating up to 23 guests in 13 staterooms. Check her out on YouTube for a better look.
LA DATCHA
Built by Damen Yachting in 2020, LA DATCHA (77m) has a truly unique hull design and masterfully combines maneuverability and style. Despite her size and weight, her heavy-duty motors can handle anything thrown at them and will cruise at an impressive 14.5 knots. On board, LA DATCHA has 2 helicopters, a helipad, and a wide array of water toys & tenders. This can all be enjoyed by up to 12 guests spread throughout 6 cabins, 2 of which are master cabins. Check her out on YouTube for a better look.
Eastern Russia
From March to September, visit Wrangel Island to stop by the home of polar bears, but also walruses, snow geese, and snowy owls. Afterward, guests will be able to move to more temperate climates that still hide plenty of surprises. The Kamchatka coastline is one of the most popular locations, and for good reason. Here, you will experience dramatic changes in scenery as you pass by volcanoes, thermal baths, and impressively steep cliffsides. Not to mention that there are plenty of places to go skiing. This region, where the Kuril Islands are another great place to stop, harbor some of the most diverse fauna. Arctic foxes, puffins, albatrosses, otters, and red-legged Kittiwakes are only a few of the species that you will encounter. Finally, history buffs will also enjoy visiting the Far East, as it is rich in Soviet war history and indigenous cultures. If such a trip is of interest, we highly recommend picking LA DATCHA as your charter vessel.

Norway
Cruising along the coastline of Norway is the perfect way to explore truly wild areas while still staying close to civilization. Starting in Hordaland County, Bergen and its surroundings offer a glimpse of the characteristic coastal life of Southern Norway. Markets are brimming with local seafood, and coastal houses still retain their multi-colored Hanseatic style that has been an emblem of the Norwegian coastline for centuries. Venturing farther up north, Narvik is surrounded by fjords and mountains that offer great opportunities to go hiking or fishing. Nearing the border with Sweden, Tromso is a city that has much to offer to visitors; the most surprising of all is that it is famous for its nightlife, so partygoers will not be bored there. Tromso’s Arctic cathedral is also a masterpiece of design and unlike any building in its vicinity. Finally, heliskiing from Narvik to Sweden is one opportunity. Travelling on the Norwegian coastline is full of different possibilities, which is why we recommend chartering on RAGNAR.
RAGNAR
Delivered by Icon Yachts in 2012 and fully refitted in 2020, RAGNAR has the means to take its guests anywhere they wish with her icebreaker hull and 800hp engines. What’s more, her aft main deck has a helipad and is designed to easily deploy tenders and her other exciting toys, including heliskiing equipment. Inside, up to 12 guests will be able to enjoy a luxurious wooden interior that installs a deep sense of comfort. RAGNAR is currently available to charter in March, April, and May, cruising Norway with heliskiing in Sweden.
