After a 22 month long wait, HSH Prince Albert II gave the green light on the 3rd of July for the inauguration of Larvotto Beach. The beach has new terraces that overlook the Mediterranean and new restaurants to enjoy. The beautiful complex was designed by Italian architect, Renzo Piano. (Monaco Tribune)
According to the Director of Urban Amenities of the Principality, the renovation of the space sought to “reclaim the public space.” 130 trees were planted and facilities include a diving school, gym and crèche. Along the beach one can also find a cycling path. (Monaco Tribune)
The renovated restaurants specifically are La Note Bleue serving a global menu, Le Neptune Plage providing a selection of Mediterranean dishes, and Miami Plage also plating Mediterranean but with an Asian selection as well.
In terms of COVID restrictions, from the 26th of June, the curfew in the Principality has been lifted. From Blue Gin to Le Bar Américain, enjoy a cocktail with family/friends, great views, and live music. Meetings in public areas, however, have been limited to ten people. Entrance to restaurants and bars has loosened further with proof of Monegasque nationality, residency (including surrounding French and Italian areas), hotel accomadations or PCR tests/vaccination certificates.
